Our Mighty Eagle Band took the field first last night, and we took home the bronze at the end of the evening! What an exciting night! Thank you for all you prayers, my kid did NOT fall down. I cannot say that about all the bands, in fact the team that took first place in our area, had two kids fall down, but they took home the gold.
All the teams were SO good, I don't know how the judges do it!
After the kids marched we talked to John on the phone and asked how they felt like they did and he said they were really happy with their performance and all had a little cry when they walked off the field. What pressure! They were just so thrilled to march a clean program and have it over with, the medal was icing on the cake. And the icing on my cake?
NO MORE EARLY MORNING MARCHING PRACTICE AND NO MORE AFTER SCHOOL MARCHING PRACTICE!!!!!!!
