"If I Could Have a Bean Burrito I'd Be In Heaven"

What Ace actually said was "I want to be a soccer player when I'm eleven." But the Friday night football crowd was so loud "Burrito" was what Charlie heard. It was a big night of entertainment!

Charlie and I went to a small High School with no Football program, so it was a lot of fun. And our town evidently takes football very seriously! We were at an away game, but look at this...

We bring our own blow-up Eagle tunnel for the boys to run out of.....impressive no?

Peach felt like she had on boy clothes. I had bought her and Ace an Eagle T-shirt at her school, so they would be showing their school spirit, but when we got there, every little girl you see, either had a cheerleader outfit on, or something with glitter, bling and matching bows. We had a great time, the game was exciting (we lost), and we got to see John march...

He's the last in the row...

It has been two of the fastest, most exhausting weeks we've ever had. We started school, we had friends from Houston come up for the three day weekend. I got Ace started in Mother's Day Out. The schedule is gueling. John has to go in early for marching practice three mornings a week, Melee' has football practice three afternoons a week, John has to work the concession stand for at least four JV games, band-parent meeting, meet the teacher meeting, an emergency "well-visit" to make Ace eligible for MDO. Every afternoon, Peach has a math paper, spelling words, and a book to read for homework. If I forget to sign her reading calendar, she gets points off her weekly grade, and every day she brings home one or two papers to do that she was unable to get finished during class time. (Please Lord, not another one, I still haven't figured out how to handle the first one.) She has a meltdown every morning, every afternoon, and every night at bedtime. She had a meltdown Friday morning because she wanted me to come to lunch, so I did. She had a meltdown at lunch, because she didn't want me to go. I had a meltdown when I got back to the car.

In house news, we're trying to get the yard under control. The first time we mowed (we being a figure of speech) it took Charlie 8 hours.

I originally thought I would mow the yard for the exercise. Yeah. Right.

So last night we came home after the third quarter of the football game around 10:30. Charlie went and picked John up from the school around 11:30. He got up and took Melee' for football pictures and a scrimmage at 7:45 this morning. Then my Mom came over to babysit, I went and traded him cars. I picked up Melee' from the scrimmage and he went to Royse City and came home with this....

Two and a half hours later....done.

At Thanksgiving, we'll be riding motorcycles, a Hot Wheels four wheeler, scooters and a ZTR.

And I can't let you go without just one more of these...

They don't call it Sunset Trails for nuthin'.

That's the update, I'm rollin' out...
